The Animal Control Department is responsible for enforcing the Connecticut State Laws pertaining to animals. The Animal Control Officer investigates complaints of vicious, sick, neglected or abused animals. Roaming or stray animals should be reported. The ACO is also responsible to care for all animals at the dog pound.
For assistance, AFTER HOURS (emergencies only), please contact Troop L at (860) 626-7900.
Wildlife Concerns: For wildlife-related issues, please contact the Department of Environmental Protection (DEEP) at 860-424-3333 or visit their website for information on wildlife rehabilitation in your area.
