Calling all boaters! Put your creativity to the test and decorate your boat for our first ever
Bantam Lake Boat Parade!
Pontoons, fishing vessels, kayaks, canoes, sailboats - all welcome!
Prizes will be awarded in three categories:
· Most Patriotic
· Most Creative
· and the coveted, THE MINNOW award.
FREE to enter, but donations are gratefully accepted. Registration is not required, but is appreciated via email.
THIS WEEKEND! Saturday, August 15!
We ask that boaters line up in the water near the State Boat Launch area beginning at 5:30 pm. Parade begins at 6:00 pm.
Parade route will run the perimeter of the lake (excluding the North end) beginning near the State Boat Launch, continuing down to South Bay, cruising by the Morris Town Beach, up the East Shore, across to Point Folly, back by the State Boat Launch and ending with a final swing by the Morris Town Beach area for judging / mooring.
We are encouraging Morris residents to utilize the Town Boat Launch to launch your boats for the Parade.
Spectators are welcome to watch the Parade from the Morris Town Beach. We'll have music and refreshments available for purchase! (MTB Parking Permits are NOT required for any Town sponsored event at the MTB.)
