This ongoing monthly program will occur on the last Tuesday of each month, beginning at 1:00 pm. You'll enjoy a presentation from a myriad of presenters followed by enjoying a delicious treat! A great way to spend your Tuesday afternoon!

Topic: The Opioid Epidemic and Older Adults - What You Need To Know - with Toni Sterling, Community Outreach & Recovery Navigator with Greenwoods Counseling & Referrals, Inc. in Litchfield.

Toni Sterling, Community Outreach and Recovery Navigator with Greenwoods Counseling and Referrals, will be sharing their presentation titled “The Opioid Epidemic and Older Adults, what you need to know”. We will discuss signs of opioid misuse, how to prevent accidental opioid overdose in grandkids and adult children as well as pain management tips and how to properly dispose of old medications. You will learn how to recognize and respond to an overdose, local resources and supports for mental health and addiction, as well as a free kit of Narcan to all who attend.
